    Virtual Training - SMRC Event

    Virtual Master Training for New Master Trainers - November 2, 9, & 16, 2022

    Training description

    Type: Zoom video webinars with online pre-work.

    This training meets for 3 hours, once a week for 3 weeks.

    Prerequisites:

    1. Sponsored by a licensed SMRC organization (licensing information)

    2. Is a Certified Leader in at least one SMRC program

    3. Have facilitated at least 2 SMRC workshops as a Leader, at least one of which was a virtual workshop, within the last year (SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION IN THE MEMBER PORTAL IMMEDIATELY AFTER CREATING YOUR MEMBER ACCOUNT AND REGISTERING FOR THIS TRAINING!)

    4. Your own stable, fast, internet connection

    5. Your own computer and webcam (no mobile devices or telephone participation)

    6. Good sound quality

    7. Proficient in how to use your equipment

    8. Have obtained a copy of the book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions 5th Edition BEFORE to the training


    This training will prepare certified SMRC workshop Leaders to conduct Leader trainings as certified Master Trainers only for the programs in which they are certified.

    Training details

    This training meets for 3 hours, once a week for 3 weeks.

    Watching videos, reading materials and a test are required during the 2 weeks before the webinars and between sessions. The first of these must be completed and submitted 2 business days before the webinars or registration will be cancelled and the fee forfeited. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to watch the videos and complete your homework (2-4 hours).

    Certification Requirements

    To become a certified SMRC Master Trainer, you will need to:

    1. Attend all video webinar training sessions, including practice training sessions.

    2. Complete required homework.

    3. Facilitate 1 virtual SMRC program Leader training within 18 months.

    4. Submit your certification form to SMRC. (SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION IN THE MEMBER PORTAL IMMEDIATELY AFTER CREATING YOUR MEMBER ACCOUNT AND REGISTERING FOR THIS TRAINING!)
