What is the format for a web-based training?
You will be asked to complete and submit pre-webinar assignments, and then attend a real time webinar facilitated by a Trainer. A group of 10-20 participants will meet through the webinar for up to 3 hours at a pre-set date and time.
How do I access the pre-webinar activities?
Cross-trainings require that you spend time on the training website reviewing materials such as manuals and videos and completing training assignments and a test before the webinar. Depending on the program, homework for the webinar can take up to 5 hours to complete. After you have registered you will receive further instructions on how to access the training activities via the trainer portal.
How do I access the webinar?
You can join the webinar by clicking a link on your training website.
Do I need to have previous experience with web-based trainings?
No previous experience is required! However, make sure to allow yourself plenty of time to complete your homework and learn about Zoom.
Who can attend the web-based trainings?
Our web-based trainings are designed primarily for Master Trainers. However, Leaders may participate only on a space-available basis. Therefore they must first register to a waitlist for the training they wish to take.
What if I know someone else that wants to attend?
To receive credit for attending a cross-training, each trainee must register for the training separately. Send them the link to this page.
Once I am cross-trained, can I cross-train CDSMP Leaders using the web format?
Yes, if you are a Master Trainer or T-Trainer who has received your certification to train Leaders using a virtual platform then you may conduct Leader cross-trainings virtually as well as in face-to-face groups using an SMRC cross-training manual.
